Se7en 2nd Mini Album
Se7en's 2nd Mini Album was released in South Korea on February 1st, 2012. After it's release it quickly shot to the top of many Korean music charts, and snagged the #1 spot on the iTunes R&B Charts for Feb. 1. The album contains six new songs, including a Korean version of the previously released Japanese song Somebody Else.
The album is being heralded as a return to Se7en's pop-R&B roots, a style from which he departed with the release of his first mini-album in 2010. Returning to his previous R&B style (though with an admittedly modernized approach) Se7en shows of both his vocal range, while still making music that can show off his dancing skills if and when performed live.
Three of the songs bear English titles, while the other three have Korean language titles. The first release on the album is 내가 노래를 못해도 (When I Can't Sing), which was produced by JYP Entertainment's CEO Park Jin Young, and features JYP playing the piano throughout the track, as well as JYP's signature namesake at the beginning of the song. All other songs were produced within YG Entertainment, and there are no featuring artists on the album.
The album contains a YG Family Card which has an individualized registration number written on it. The card may be registered at www.hello7.com and all registrations come with a downloadable digital thank you box containing high quality images, single lyrics, and a special video. Also, all registered cards are entered for a pair of events, which are being run along with several other events in relation to the promotion of Se7en's album. Among the events are a pre-Valentine's Day fan signing, a signed Polaroid raffle, and a movie date with Se7en event. Winners of the event must be in Korea in order to participate or receive the prizes.
